If you try to fail and succeed, which have you done?

Sometimes I really don’t know what I am doing and why I am doing it. I came to New York to study, learn the language and gain knowledge (suuuree), and did I do that? Of course not, instead of studying I have been shopping, partying and seeing cute guys. What is wrong with me? I guess I never take life seriously. The finals starts on Monday and it will be two weeks with a suicide-exams-marathon. Have I read anything yet? Of course NOT! I am so afraid of failing and that leads me to the question, what if I try to fail? And I succeed, which have you done?

Silver Towers sucks

New Yorkers are known to be busy and the city is always crowded with a lot of stressful people trying to get through the tourist that is blocking OUR way. They always say “Time is money”, well at least Donald Trump likes to say that. I might not be a real New Yorker, but I believe my schedule is pretty busy compared to most people. I have things to do, people to meet and I rather not let them see me with greasy hair.
So take a shower!! Well, it is not that easy when the bath is not working properly. I called the reception this morning and they told me that it will be fixed soon. Unfortunately, I didn’t know what “soon” means.

The New York definition of soon: 7 hours and 4 minutes.

I even called them multiple times of where the engineer is, and of course they told me he would be here soon or now. RIGHT! I actually have a social life, I don't have time to wait 7 hours!!!!! My roommate and I are actually paying almost 4000USD every month for a shitty studio apartment. We do expect a bit better service than waiting 7 hours to take a shower. Do they even know time is money? And right now, I am pretty broke, so don’t waste my time like this!!!!!

Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I hope you all had a nice holiday. This was the first time I ever celebrated Thanksgiving. I was lucky to be invited to a friend’s house and had dinner with him and his family in Long Island. My first real American Thanksgiving with turkey, ham, pumpkin pie, apple pie and a lot of other stuff that made me blew up, but it was ok though. I exercised a lot the day after on Black Friday. It was exhausting to push people away just to get the stuff you don’t need.
For those that are not from The States and don’t know what a Black Friday is, this is my definition.
Black Friday = the day after Thanksgiving, when Americans are killing each other to get cheap stuff they don’t need.

Since I am converting myself to be an American, I just had to join the event and ended up with this. I so totally don’t need it, but it was cheap and on sale!

Back on Track

Enough is enough. It is time to take my body back that New York has taken away from me. I am lazy in general, I never exercise and free delivery doesn’t help really. I just bought new sportswear from Nike to motivate myself. It is time to be healthy and get Miranda Kerr’s body (hehe, I can always dream). Wish me good luck and let’s see how long it will take before my sportswear will hide in my closet.

My Halloween Weekend

Halloween in NYC is just pure fun. EVERYBODY is dressing up, either to get candy or get drunk. As you can see, I was dressed up as a black angel and Red Riding Hood (no, I am not a red smurf). The reason why I got two costumes is....My wings broke at the first party because of different reasons....

How was your Halloween??

Versace for H&M

Wohooo! Its Versace's turn to cooperate with H&M. Finally a collection I would buy and wear.

I have been disappointing too many times now... COMME des GARCONS, Sonia Rykiel, Jimmy Choo (painful shoes).... etc.... Finally FINALLY something better!!

What do you think?? Would you wait outside an H&M store for hours to get a piece of this collection?? I know I would.

A New Converse Fan

I am a new Converse fan! Just bought 3 new pairs today and it only cost me 96 USD. Whooot so cheap? How did I get them so cheap? Well well well, the secret is….. I got them from the children’s collection. Just gotta love my shoe size sometimes.

Alice's Tea Cup

Just went to Alice’s Tea Cup today with Kamilla, my roommate. It is a small lovely place for breakfast and lunch on upper west side. I ordered two scones and a small teapot which tasted amazing! What a great way to start the day. I recommend this place if you are a tea lover. The tea list is impressive with many unique and fresh teas. It took me forever to decide. They have 3 different places in New York. Check out the website for more information, alicesteacup

Fuck New York Weather

New York weather is just so stupid! I was walking around Manhattan with my beautiful new Steve Madden shoes, and then all of the sudden it just HAD to rain. Doesn’t the weather knows that my shoes do not do rain?

Sometimes I wonder why people keep calling God for “him/he”. God is obviously a woman. I mean, how do you explain the unexpected weather all the time? You thought the relationship with your girlfriend was fine and when you ask her if something is wrong (checking the weather on Google) and she answers “no” (sunny and 70 degrees). You THINK everything is fine, but damn you are so wrong. Of course everything is not OK. Then she is starting to cry (rain) and tell you aaaall about how insensitive and uncaring you are. You stupid man that didn’t bring the umbrella.

Notice the dark spots in my shoes. That is a result of walking in the rain.

One Feet Taller

I know I look really mad here, hahah, but don't look at my face. Look at my SHOES <3

 Blazer: Forever21
T-shirt: FNO (Macy's)
Shoes: Wild Pair (Bakers)

I just LOVE my new shoes. It makes me soo tall!! Ok, maybe not tall, but it gives me a normal height. Heheheh. You have no idea how much I hate being short.

Edit: Hardcore study DAY

So I was lying... Kind of... It wasn't a study WEEK, but more like a DAY, but do you know what? One day studying is like... I don't know. I am bad with metaphors. Anyway, the point is; to sit down and read a book is very difficult for me. I don't know, I might have ADHD or something, or maybe dyslexia. So how did I pass high school? Well, I am a genius with ADHD or/and dyslexia I guess. Hahah, Anyway, after a shitty day like this, I so deserve a Shake Shack double cheese burger and a coke.

Simon (my roommate's friend from Norway) got some Norwegian candy to me as well. Yay, more calories. I should be worry about my weight, or actually. I shouldn't. Everybody is getting fatter in the States anyway, so why try to go against destiny?

Hardcore Study Week

Coffee coffee, this week will be a hardcore study week. A reminder to not wait till last minute. I never learn do I....
My midterm exam is tomorrow and I figured it out YESTERDAY. Since I came to New York, I haven’t opened my books till now. This is my new high score, sitting inside and studying for a whole day. This is so boring!!! I am really NOT a “study” person. Never been and will never be.

This is a photo from high school in a math class. Yup, one of the few Asians that do not like math.

Milburn Orchards

Last weekend we went to Washington DC but stopped to a farm for a few hours. FAMILY farm fun! Lunch, hayrides, pumpkin harvest house, corn maze, milky sway tunnel. I have never seen so many pumpkins in my life, but then again. It is a lot of stuff I haven't seen before.

I won I won!

I used to say that I never win anything, but I take that back. I actually won The Black Label’s give away! Yay! What did I win? A Chajin design bracelet. Thanks Andres, I can’t wait to get it.

Columbus Day

Dress: American Apparel
Necklace: don't remember the designer ( I will look it up asap)

Home Sweet Home

Back to the city! I spent my weekend in Washington DC this weekend and just came home yesterday night. It was a looong trip home. The bus stopped and we were stuck in nowhere. It was like in the movies. The bus stops, and then the zombies will kill us. Half of us died, but not because of the zombies, in fact they never showed up. We died because of the heat; the aircon was off in 45 minutes or something. It was horrible, I really think I rather be killed by some zombies than the awful air in the bus. Some just HAD to eat Doritos.

Anyway, my romie and I survived and we made some “healthy” popcorn. So typical her to buy whole grain bullshit without butter. So yeah, we spent the night watching Gossip Girl and ate popcorn.
Photos from the trip will be uploaded soon. Have a nice Columbus Day!
